Random warm-ups keep your voice where it is.

You’ve had training, you know what good singing feels like, and you want a voice that’s ready when your next opportunity arrives. But when you sing along with exercises on your own, you sing them the way you always sing, so the same old habits come right along with you and actually get stronger.

Sound familiar?

  • I warm up every day, so why isn’t anything changing?
  • Why does my voice flip in the same spot every time?
  • Why do I sound great in the practice room and tight in the audition room?

Every one of these is solvable.

The warm-up is the work.

Your vocalizing is where your technique gets built, and your music is where you apply it.

Fix a note in your aria and you’ve fixed a note in your song. Fix a note in your vocalizing and you’ve fixed a note in your voice.

In The Practice Room, the problems in your singing get solved at the root, and the fix comes with you into everything you sing.

Inside The Practice Room

Guided vocalizing sequences: Sing along with me through sequences for breath, resonance, vowels, high notes, and the switch between chest voice and head voice.

Mini-lessons: Short videos on one idea at a time, like how to make a breakthrough stick and why your singing vowels need to be different from your speaking vowels.

Mindset exercises: Guided tools for performance nerves, perfectionism, and the inner narratives that tighten your voice.

67 lessons and growing, and most sequences take 10 to 15 minutes, so practice fits your real life.
Little by little, you’ll:

  • Know what to practice and why
  • Build new patterns until they become your overall sound
  • Increase the health, flexibility, beauty, and power of your voice
  • Work through the beliefs and nerves that hold you back

Meet Sarah

Taught by a singer who rebuilt her own voice.

When I moved to New York City to pursue my dream of a professional singing career, my voice was a wreck. For six years, I recorded the vocalizing from my lessons and sang along with it every day, and that daily practice took me from a hot mess with my voice to my dream performing career.

There’s nothing special about me except that I wouldn’t give up and discovered my own system to get there. Everything in The Practice Room comes from that rebuild, my 25+ years of technical and artistic training, and 15+ years working with singers like you.

It’s not
talent.
It’s Training
